Following the staged reading of RICHARD II I will moderate a panel discussion—join the discussion and enjoy this timely performance of Shakespeare and Leadership on Wednesday, April 5, 7;00PM at the Carling Sorenson Theater, Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts.  This staged reading of excerpts from the play, is performed by leaders from the business community and professional actors and focuses on transition of power.   Here is a description from the flyer:

Although the struggle for England’s throne was never simple, the kingdom lasted for over a millennium before the sovereignty passed outside a direct familial line.  But when an inept ruler—indecisive, frivolous and vain—angered the established nobility, one man interceded in the transition of power and sparked a civil war that would last 86 years.

About the Lecture Series:  This series features distinguished experts on "state, national, and global issues from our leading universities, government, non-profit organizations, and the media” and is aimed at an audience of elders from Newton and surrounding communities. Recent speakers include Governor Dukakis, Barney Frank, Boston Globe Editor Brian McGrory, Boston Museum of Science President Iaonnis Miaoulis…and the list goes on. Here’s the link to the Spring 2016 brochure for the line-up. Typically, the audience numbers between 50-75 and are engaged listeners with many questions.
